Most of the old lime kilns on the Dowards have fallen down or disappeared years ago. Two have been partially restored and the remainder are in ruins, often difficult to see in the undergrowth. This one has survived in good condition without restoration. It can be found beside the access road to ? where there is a footpath which takes you up to the top of Great Doward.
