“The Mysteries of the Lewstone Estate”

“The Mysteries of the Lewstone Estate”

Anybody who has been able to get published will know just how proud and excited I am having this month (March) finally launched my
first booklet.

Research started in the Spring of 2016 and was completed by the Autumn of 2017 taking eighteen months. It was a steep learning
curve to identify and examine a multitude of sources of information and it was wholly absorbing. I also had to considerably improve my
PC skills and was helped in this by Peter Alan, a Monmouth man, on a one-to-one basis.

Mountains of scribbles had to be put into a sensible format and divided into chapters and go ready for the printer. It took another six months
to get it published, an overall total for the project of two years.

I was helped enormously by the current owners of the Lewstone Estate Ann and Jim Herbert and owe them my thanks – the quantity of
ancient records they had available was staggering.

Copies of the booklet are available at Woods of Whitchurch.
